The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi is a public engineering institution located in Hauz Khas, Delhi, India.

It was established in 1961. The institute was later announced in Institutes of National Importance under the Institutes of Technology Amendment Act, 1963. IITD aims to contribute to India and the World through excellence in scientific and technical education and research and continue to serve as a valuable resource for industry and society and remain a source of pride for all Indians. IIT believes in generating new knowledge by engaging in cutting-edge research and promotes academic growth by offering state-of-the-art undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. IITD continues to undertake collaborative projects which offer opportunities for long-term interaction with academia and industry. Ravi is a biophysicist by training, is actively engaged in developing methods/technologies for visualizing biological systems. Ravi and his team have developed four platform technologies for infectious disease diagnosis. He is founder director for Valetuprimus Healthcare Pvt LTd, spinoff from his lab. He is keen to develop technologies to identify pathogens and drug susceptibility with a faster turnaround time in low resource settings.
